November Road Trip - Day 10 & 11: Yuma, Arizona

Leaving California, we headed east to Yuma, AZ to visit with Grandma and Grandpa. We went for a tour of a date farm.
And had some date shakes.

Sitting on the porch, enjoying some of the warmest weather of the trip.

In the wishing well.

Amongst the rows of medjool date palms.

Guess who found a stick...

Next, we went for a prison tour. Here's the guard tower.

From this viewpoint, Yuma doesn't look so arid.

Trying to lock everyone in...

Now, why can't I have some iron bars like this at home?

Room for six.

Chloe's not too sure of this place.

Charlie and Lucy look like they'd enjoy spending some time here.

Let us out!

In solitary confinement.

Charlie's first (and hopefully last) mugshot.

Back at Grandpa and Grandma's trailer park.

Saying good bye.

Pit stop at a rest area north of Phoenix.

We managed to get a scenic view just as the sun set.

Burning off some energy after hours in the car.

Didn't notice this sign at first. After reading it, we went straight back to the car. (It says Poisonous Snakes and Insects inhabit the area).
