First Day of School!

After a two week break in June/July, Charlie headed back to school on July 9th.  Yay for year round school!!!

Lucy started Preschool 4 days a week on August 15th!  Big changes at her old preschool (2 of her favourite teachers left) but she loves being one of the big kids, now!

My, what fancy ladies!

Chloe amazes me every day!  She sings, counts, builds towers and Lego zoos, colours inside the lines, and now, she can draw people!  I love it!  Look, it even has hair, a body, legs, arms and fingers.  Lucy's people still have legs coming out of their head so I think Chloe got quite a head start with her sibling role models!

Lucy's new do!

After complaining about tangles for months, it was time to chop off Lucy's locks.

I can't believe how long her hair had become.  This would be her third time getting it cut in her four year old lifespan, not counting the two times she took the scissors to her hair by herself...

Chloe has yet to get a hair cut.

Soon, it will be her turn!

 And the After!

Complete with some sparkles!

Mornings are much easier now!

Camping at Steamboat Springs - July 2012

After a 3.5 hour trek northwest of Denver, we arrived at the campground in the pouring rain.  Phil and I quickly set up the tent trailer and then the sun came out!

Lake front camping!

Camera man Charlie capturing the rest of the family.

Even after the huge downpour, a fireban was still on so we did smores on the BBQ!

The next morning, we hiked up a mini mountain to check out the views.

Looking down on the campground - our camper is closest to the bathrooms in the first row.

We headed into Steamboat Springs for the day.  The hot springs are one of the best I've ever seen!

Chloe at the kiddie pool.
Charlie, waiting in line for the Wibit, an inflatable obstacle course.

 Taking a break...

Charlie's turn!
He makes it, this time!

Chloe on the crab slide.
Lucy's turn!

Another wet evening - heavy rains in the afternoon, followed by a beautiful evening.

Caught the rainbow this time!
Phil with the only thing he could catch while fishing - a crayfish!

After being assured it wouldn't pinch, Chloe held the little guy.

Such intense colours!

Lucy was so well behave this weekend!  Something had to be wrong.  Turns out, she was lethargic and had a high fever.  There had to be an explanation!
No dark clouds, now!

Another beautiful sunset!
Playing catch.

A relaxing night for us!  Both girls went to bed right after supper with no complaints!

Feeling refreshed after a good night's sleep.

Third day of no baths makes for some crazy bedhead!

Last chance to do some fishing!

Phil, showing Charlie where to find the fish.  Cause they're not in the grass where his hook keeps landing!

Showing us how it's done...

Lucy, feeling much better!

Getting soggy, right before the car ride home!
