November Road Trip - Day 1: Arches National Park - Utah

We started our 2 week long road trip to California with a 3 hour stop at Arches National Park near Moab, Utah.

Cheryl and Chloe in front of Balanced Rock.

It's amazing that it hasn't toppled over.

Quite an interesting skyline...

Starting a hike that Phil said was only 1.5 miles long. Turns out, that was the direct road. The trail was more like 5 miles long so we didn't make it to see the double arches at the end...

Finding a cave to hide out in...

Of course, Charlie found a small stick...

The path leading to an area known as the Fiery Furnace.

Burning off some energy...

These towering rocks had lots of nooks and crannies to explore.

Stuck between a rock and ... another rock.

Using the camera self timer for a family pic can sometimes result in stunned looks as they hold their poses.

This one turned out a bit better...

We found this arch hidden amongst the towering rocks.

Chloe and her giant red sandbox.

All in all, a most beautiful park. We'll have to return another time!
