We spent last weekend in Colorado Springs and decided to check out the Air Force Academy. We always see it from the interstate driving from Denver to Colorado Springs but wanted to get a close up view. The Cadet Chapel has some stunning architecture!
The tall spires are just as impressive from the inside.
And the stained glass glows in a myriad of colour.
Lucy, getting a ride on Daddy's shoulders as we walk past the residences, or the cages as Lucy called them.
We parked at the gift shop and walked the 1/3 mile trail to the chapel and then back again. Longest 2/3 mile we ever walked, due to the fact that we didn't bring a stroller for Chloe and she insisted on "hawking" (walking) all by herself.
I love the fall colours here! I didn't expect much but with the rolling hills, they seem to go on and on!
The girls with Mr. Sourpuss. Charlie wasn't feeling well so we opted not to do the Cheyennne Mountain Zoo. As a result, every other option was boring.
Taking a break on the long way back...
Lucy was in supermodel training mode, insisting on getting her picture taken. "Take a picture of me" and "Now take of picture of me over here". I wish the others were more like her!
