We had a fun time at the Burro Birthday Bash at the Mining museum last weekend. Outside, the kids met the burros, listened to some bluegrass music, watched a steam shovel demonstration and had birthday cupcakes.
Inside, they, along with Sophie, became mini miners.

All 4 kids tried panning for gold and could keep whatever they found. Unfortunately, we didn't come home any richer...
