Around the house...

All ready!

 

 Charlie and Logan, raking our leaves.  They helped each other do their front lawns to supplement their allowance.  Then, eager to make money, they went door to door offering to rake leaves and mow lawns.  I'm not sure how they were going to get the lawns mowed, seeing as how they've never done it before.  Finally, they opened a lemonade stand at the end of the street and made a couple of bucks!

An early Halloween...for grownups!

 On Oct 20th, we rented a party bus with some friends to tour around the various haunted houses in Denver.

Our first stop was The 13th Floor.  This was sooo much fun!  They reinvented an old warehouse to be a haunted hotel with creepy creatures jumping out at you in the darkened hallways!

 

 Back on the party bus, heading to The Asylum, a haunted mental hospital.

We had jokingly told people before that evening that we weren't sure who was going to be Little Red Riding Hood.  So later in the evening, after a stop at 7-11, we surprised everyone by swapping costumes!

Lucy's Field Trip to Nick's Garden Center

 

 Last week, Lucy's class went for a field trip to a local garden center.

We started with a maze through the straw bales.

 

 

Then, spent some time in the bouncy castles.

 

Next, the girls took a train ride.

 

 

And then a hay ride which took us through a dark, spooky tunnel!

At the very end, they each got to pick a pumpkin to take home!

 

An Autumn Walk through the Neighbourhood

A mid October trip to the playground turned into an autumn walk to see the colour changes.

Lucy and Chloe had fun chasing a bunny.  The smart little guy knew to stay on the other side of the fence!

Fall Soccer Season

 We just finished the fall soccer season on Saturday.

 Here's Charlie's Team, The Torpedos, who ended up in 2nd place overall!

Lucy's team, The Ninja Rabbits, also had a good season.

Lucy was probably the youngest player on her team but she kept up!
