Molly Brown House

Grandma and Grandpa Bischoff came for a visit to Denver.  We thought we'd go see the Unsinkable Molly Brown's city home which is now a museum.

The picture is blurry, but it gives a better view of the house.

Climbing up on fences.  Luckily, we didn't get kicked out but we came close...

Colorado Renaissance Festival

We were first in line to ride the elephants!

First time for me and Chloe but Charlie and Lucy have done this before!

Listening to Celtic Legacy play the drums and bagpipes.

The Puke & Snot Show (wasn't quite as vulgar as the name implied...)

Tournament of Skill Combat Jousting

The girls are more interested in Charlie's bread bowl of soup...

The Children's Carousel

Charlie was too big for this one.  I guess when you use manual labour, you only want the littlest kids sitting on the ride!

Ready to leave after a hot and sweltering day!

Happy Father's Day!

 Presents for Daddy!

A Rockies hat!

Wolves howling at the moon - a classic shirt!

Coffee mug designed by the kids.

Charlie made an awesome card for Dad.

So did Lucy and Chloe!

A photo book filled with 8 years of pictures of Phil and his kids.

Happy Birthday, Charlie!

 All ready for the party!

Charlie's Hockey Cake right before the party started.  No hockey nets or players to decorate it...

Playing a game of street hockey.

We weren't aware that the entire neighbourhood would be having a garage sale that day so the street was quite a bit busier than usual.  Luckily, by the time the party started at 1, the traffic had slowed down.

Thank goodness for Saturday mail delivery!  The mail came while the kids were playing hockey so we had decorations just in time for the cake!

Chloe, waiting eagerly for the snacks...

The boys worked up quite an appetite!

Being silly!

The Birthday Boy!

The girls weren't allowed to sit at the boys table...

 Here comes the cake!

Make a wish!  Notice the Jets napkins?

Time for presents!

Our family, according to Lucy

I had to take a picture of this lineup.  Lucy was playing "Our Family" in the bath.  In order from right to left:  Chloe (Dora), Lucy (girl), Charlie (boy), Mom (Cinderella), and Dad (Ernie).  I love it!

Chloe just gets the leftover toys to play with...

Mount Rushmore

After spending the night in Rapid City, SD, we stopped at Mount Rushmore before heading home to Denver.

 Squishing Thomas Jefferson

Playing The Three Billy Goats Gruff, only because we're on a bridge...

A crack in a cave gives a glimpse of George Washington.

A view of the Black Hills

Jumping from the rocks.  Lucy has a very hard time with rules like "Stay on the Path".

The kids with their souvenir hats.

A sweet moment... Lucy asked me to carry her but I told her she could walk.  Then, Charlie offered to carry her.
Phil "holding" the souvenir coffee mug he wasn't allowed to get...
