Hawaii - Day 1

Charlie on the lanai overlooking the Dolphin pool.

Lucy loves watching the dolphins from our room. She knows she can always get out on the lanai (balcony) by asking, "Charlie, open doon!" (Doon is door in Lucy talk)

Charlie, Chloe and I went for a stroll around the resort to give Dad and Lucy a much needed nap after a gruelling day of travel.

Charlie opted for the boat ride on the canal around the resort. We saved the tram for another trip.

We've seen lots of these large birds roaming around the resort.

There are many kinds of fish swimming in the canal.

Charlie had to try and climb one.

Charlie begged me to let him play on the rocks. Luckily, there were no injuries but those rocks are sharp!

In the cave in front of the Lagoon, underneath the waterfall. A classic Charlie move, posing with his arms outstretched. Whenever you ask him to smile for the camera, his arms automatically shoot out.

See, he did it again. This time with Lucy on their way to the pool.

Jumping in the pool. This pool has a sand bottom on one end and is Lucy's favourite.

Military Night at the Moose Game

Daddy got the fun job of holding Lucy at the game last night!

While I got to hold the inactive one. Charlie might have been the noisiest one - he got two noise makers and made sure everyone heard him whenever the Moose scored a goal.

Lucy, to our surprise, was quite interested in the game. She cheered and clapped and even sang "O Canada". She made friends with the people around us as she tried to mooch their popcorn and drinks. The cotton candy Phil bought for us managed to keep her up until we got home shortly after 11:00 pm.

Before the game started, Phil was selected to get interviewed for Fans in the Stands. Chloe and I got to watch him and the kids on the big screen.

Spring has Sprung

Spring is here! Saturday had temps above 10 degree and the snow is melting fast. Lucy is discovering mud puddles which fascinate her.
Charlie still loves playing with big sticks. He attacks the trees in our front yard with them.

Hopefully, his menacing looks will keep the burglars away.

Lucy paused long enough for me to get a picture of her looking at the camera.

And she's off again, tearing through the puddles in the side yard.

Chloe's got a little smile while she basks in the sunlight.

Little Picasso

Lucy got to paint on the easel the other day. It doesn't happen often because she needs constant supervision.
She loves putting the colours on the paper. As soon as she's painted one stroke, she's ready for the next colour.
But she does not like the mess that goes with painting. As soon as one drop hits the floor, all painting needs to stop until it gets wiped up.

Smile Foot!

Lucy has been playing with her toy camera lately. She goes around saying, "Smile Charlie", "Smile Mommy", "Smile Chloe", and when she took a picture of my foot, "Smile Foot"!

She wouldn't wear the hat for very long.

My baby and me!

The little sisters.
Happy to have that dirty diaper off!

Someone's getting upset with all the pictures being taken.

Can you believe how much she's grown!?!

On the left, Chloe and her teddy on Feb 1. On the right, 1 month later, Mar 1.
Whenever Lucy asks to hold Chloe, the next comment is always "Camera". I guess she thinks she'll only hold her if a picture's being taken...

So alert in the morning sunshine.

First time with her lamb wrist rattle. Not sure she noticed it.

Chloe with her boys.

She's growing so long!

In her fuzzy blanket.
